My favourite "piece" of technology?

Well, at the beginning of the class I didn't understand what I had to do... Now I understood the topic I have to write. It's about technological objects. And, well, my favorite object is my cellphone.  In the market it is called"smartphone" because of the many things it has in it. It's a Sony Xperia L cellphone.

I got it when my mother gave it to me on my vacations, specifically in January. I remember that day, because the day after I went to the university to enroll. My mother wanted to stay in contact with me everyday and also she wanted me to have a nice smartphone to support my activities at university.  I thanked my mother for the phone.

Actually, I use this cellphone for many things. In the morning, the phone clock wakes me up to get up from the bed and go to classes. Sometimes, when I'm cleaning my room I use the music player from the phone and listen to rock music. Along the day I connect to Facebook and see my news, my profile and also chat with my friends. Also, I use Whatsapp to chat and talk with my friends. I don't use much the SMS or calling other friends, because it requires money and I don't have much money. The phone has a camera and I can take photos and film videos and store them all in phone memory. I use my phone also to download text files and read them in the same phone. I can download games from Google Play and play them in my phone. Obviously my friends and family call me to my phone and I talk with them. And the phone has a flashlight that helps me at night to get to the bathroom or when I'm looking for something in the dark. For these reasons, I use my phone EYERYDAY and almost everytime. I don't use it when I'm in class or drinking beer at the university, or when I'm having lunch or dinner at home.

I like this phone. It gave me more liberty to communicate with other people, without using the laptop. In fact, I only use the laptop to write essays and other texts. My life would be very boring without my smartphone helping me, specially, when I'm going back home and I need to get busy during the trip.

I forgot that i created a blog!

Hello, everybody! My name is Patricio Aravena, and this was supposed to be my blog, but it wasn't, because Facebook is powerful -.-

Well, I was born in May 22, 1994, in a Hospital in the suburbs of Santiago, Chile. Now I'm 19 years old. I've studied during 12 years (Elementary and Secondary) at Villa el Sol School. There I've learned all the English I know actually, and I've graduated there in 2011. A few months later, I've started studying Civil Engineering at University of Santiago. I was studying there one and a half year. I left the career because I realize it won't make me happy in the future. 6 months later, I've started studying Sociology, and here I am, writing this.

I live in El Bosque, Santiago, with my father Patricio (48), and my little sister Valentina (15). My mother lives with his partner in another place. My father is a peaceful man. He works as seller at a telephone company. He likes to talk with many people; he's sociable, although he doesn't talk so much at home. My sister is like my best friend. She has a very strong character, and at the same same she's very lovely. She goes to a public secondary school in La Cisterna, near my home. She likes pop music. And she has a lot of friends everywhere. I have an older brother, Fabián (24). I don't see much him, because he lives with his natural father in Quinta Normal, West Santiago. I know he works in a clinic hospital in Las Condes, and he's homosexual. And I'm agree with that. It's their sexual option. And my mother, Verónica (47), is very special for me. She makes me feel loved. She always tries to help me when my father doesn't help me. She works at the same works that my father does. But she lives in La Florida. I try to see her every weekend. This reminds me that after I finish this post, I'm gonna call her.

I don't have very much hobbies. I spend the half of my time at university. I like studying, playing píng pong, eating hot dogs, and drinking beer at the university fields. I also like to listening rock music. Sometimes, I go to massive demonstrations, protests, marches, and any political acts. Only one time I was arrested.

Well, now I don't have many things to say about me. I hope this blog makes me write more about it.

Thanks for reading!

Patricio.
